To me, "College and Career Readiness" is basically knowing what you want your future to look like. It's self explanatory in a way since it's knowing if you are ready and capable of going to college/workforce. It doesn't necessarily have to involve thinking very far (as in planning your next 20 years), but at least know or plan out what should happen within the next five years. As a high school student, I think it is crucial to focus on maintaining a decent grade point average and to study for upcoming finals and other significant tests. It would also be smart to think about possible colleges for the near future as well as desired occupations.
This picture accurately sums up my readiness... Which is none... For now...
To be realistic, I am actually worried about my readiness. I feel as if I don't have enough time to improve my skills and prepare myself for the future. Right now, three years just isn't enough for me. While I have decided some possible universities and colleges I desire to attend, I'm still not entirely sure what subject I want to major in, how far I will go (in regards of degrees), or which career I would like to pursue.
